Miguel Chevalier is known internationally as a pioneer in the field of virtual and digital art.

His work is an exploration of the nature of our relationship with the contemporary world.

Supra Natura, his latest interactive installation, is being exhibited at Sejul Gallery, Seoul, Korea.

Day by day, the plants growing in this luxuriant virtual space evolve according to a unique cycle

which is defined by their genetic code and shape. His garden is inhabited by eight species of

luminescent, scalar plants, ranging from herbaceous vegetation and turquoise-stemmed flowers

with yellow blossoms, through to cacti in shades of red and violet.

Motion sensors allow visitors to interact with the digital installation, which is controlled by a

software program developed by Music2eye.

As viewers advance through the garden, the plants incline alternately to the left or right,

creating a scene which alternates between baroque strap work and stylized organic ballet.

With this synthesis of light and temporal form, Miguel Chevalier¡¯s representation of nature mirrors

the cosmic sensitivity of the Nymphéas cycle by Claude Monet.
