끌레르(Claire Moreau) 모로는 글자 이미지를 사용하여 형상화하고 있다. 글자 형상의 나열은 무의식적으로 언어의 근원으로 접근하게 한다. 익숙하면서도 반복적인 글자들은 작가의 의도를 넘어서 상징이나 재현이 아닌 붓의 작은 율동을 보여준다. 글자를 이루는 가는 선들은 유동적이면서 암시적인 속성을 지니고 있다.

붓으로 물감을 찍어 그릴 때마다 약간의 차이와 진동은 점점 확산되어 전체 화면으로 퍼져나간다. 그것은 인체나 풍경일 수도 있고 어떤 특정한 사물을 연상시키지 않는 분위기(Aura)일 수도 있다. 작은 글자의 형태와 색채보다는 전체에서 느낄 수 있는 소박한 율동이다. 평면 위에 잔잔하게 흩어지는 글자의 획은 반복적인 진동으로 나타난다. 

동시에 색채의 변화에 의해 정신적 의미를 지닌 형태가 화면 위에 나열된다. 그것은 추상적이면서도 전체로 느낄 수 있는 감성적인 것들이다. 

끌레르 모로가 그리는 글자들은 이야기의 서술이 아니라 시각적인 것과 다른 사유의 흐름을 지니고 있다. 색채와 관련된 형태는 글자가 지닌 의미로부터 분리시키고 모든 개성적인 필치나 감정적인 표현을 배제한 상태로 글씨를 쓴다.   

글자는 상형 문자형식을 갖추고 있다. 시처럼 글을 써가지만 그것의 의미보다는 넓게 펴진 글자들의 조합 때문에 시각적 상황을 보게 한다. 명확한 형태가 구조가 드러나지 않는 넓은 표면과 그러면서도 뚜렷한 붓 자욱은 회화적 가치와 글쓰기의 양면을 제시한다.

그리스 알파벳 형상의 사용은 유럽적 사유의 근원을 찾는 것이다. 그것은 유럽적 의식과 동양사유와 만나는 상징적 의미를 지닌다. 그것은 명상적이면서 신비주의적 속성을 지닌다. 글자의 나열을 볼 때 아무 생각 없이 작품제작에 몰두하는 작가의 모습을 연상하게 한다. 무념무상의 상태의 동양에서 선(禪)을 하는 자세와 같다. 그것은 글자를 써 가는 반복과 연속에서 나타난다. 글자의 반복은 강하지 않으면서 서서히 우리의 시선을 관념의 세계로 이끌게 한다.

Claire Moreau is materializing using letter image. Array of letter does approach by origin of language involuntarily. Familiar and recursive letters pass over artist's intention and show rhythm of brush which is not symbol or reappearance. Thin lines which are part of letters has ambivalent and suggestive attribute. Whenever imprinting dyestuffs with brush, difference and vibration spread gradually and spread in full screen. It may be human body or scenery, and it may be atmosphere (Aura) that does not suggest any specific things. This is simple rhythm that can feel from entire than form or color of small letter. Stroke of letter that scatters to recursive vibration as is quiet on plane. At the same time, forms that retain spiritual meaning by change of color are listed on screen. It is abstract and it is sensitive things which may feel to whole.

Form connected with color separates from meaning that letter retains and write in state that exclude all individual stroke of the brushes or emotional expression. Letter has hieroglyphic type. Claire Moreau writes like poem, but we see visual situation because of combination of letters to get unfolded more extensively than letters meaning. Definite form presents two faces of that wide surface and clear brush mark that structure is not detected write with value of painting.

Using Greece alphabet looks for origin of European thinking. It retains symbolism that European thinking and Oriental thinking. It is retaining meditative and mysticism attribute. When we see array of letter, we associate absorbed artist's image in work without any ideas. It looks like position that doing Zen(禪) in Orient of freedom from all ideas and thoughts condition. It appears in repeat that write letter. Repeat of letter is not strong, and it is guide our eye to the world of idea.
